Worried about Holi? Duh! We’ve got you covered!

The spring festival “Holi” a.k.a. the “festival of colors” is all about love, colors, fun and drool-worthy delicacies. Rainbow colors and love is all that you see in the air. Holi marks the victory of good over bad but the harsh colors used nowadays for that long-lasting demand does a lot of bad to your skin and hair. So before you get ready to go all fanatic and crazy with the blast of colors you should arm yourself with lots of tips to have the happiest Holi so that you don’t rue later.

As we are just a few days away from Holi, so prep yourself with all the do’s and don’ts and even if you do the don’ts we at Buzzsouk have got you covered with the pre and post-Holi trauma. Be it your skin or your tresses we have a 101 solution for everything. Get ready to be Holi-Proof with these tips:

Moisturize baby moisturize
To minimize the effect of the harsh and chemical colors moisturize your skin with either coconut oil or olive oil as dry skin makes the chemicals in the colors to penetrate into the skin and make it worse. If you have a very oily skin then stick to your moisturizer (just double the amount). Moisturize as much as possible.

SPF your skin
Since most of us play Holi outdoors don’t forget to sun-proof your skin with a sunscreen of SPF 50-60 to protect your skin from the harmful UV-rays. Not only on your face but also your entire body if you don’t want to have tan lines along with those nasty color lines on your skin.

Chumpy your tresses
Just as your skin needs moisturizing to prevent damage, similarly your hair needs a lot more care before you step into the blast of colors and chemicals this Holi. Oil your hair from roots to tips to avoid all the breakage. Wear a bandana or a trendy scarf to avoid the oily look.

Don’t forget the lips
Many of us forget about our lips and at the end of the day, we are left with dried, chapped and colored lips. Holi-proof your lips with a thick coat of shea butter lip balm or olive oil to prevent those chemicals and colors from entering the lines of your lips.
