These foods make you feel full without increasing your calorie intake.
Bite into low glycaemic vegetables
Vegetables that are classified as lower glycemic include cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, spinach, romaine lettuce, tofu/soy and peppers.These lower glycemic vegetables regulate blood sugar levels, decrease hunger and reduce calorie intake. Avoid high glycemic vegetables — including starch-laden potatoes, corn and peas —as these are linked to weight gain.These vegetables cause an increase in blood sugar levels, which may increase hunger and food intake.
Cucumber is another effective and popular remedy for losing belly fat naturally as it contains 90 percent water with about 13.25 calories. Cucumber also helps to break fat cells and reduce excess body fluids. Another plus, is that it has antioxidant vitamins A, C and E that can remove toxins from the body.
Cabbage is also good for weight loss. It contains tartaric acid which stops sugar and carbohydrates being converted into fat. Cabbage is also a rich source of Vitamin A and C that makes it good for trimming waistline.
Fiber help shed kilos Fiber is important. Consumption of high-fiber, low-glycaemic foods, such as Brussels sprouts, broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables are linked to greater weight loss especially around the belly region. Cooked carrots contain nearly 4 grams of soluble fiber per cup, this is beneficial for shedding the excess kilos.
