Anita Dongre with her “Alchemy” & muse Sonam Kapoor in London

Anita Dongre, India’s leading fashion designer was back in the city of royals on a special invitation by Divalicious, for showcasing her Summer Resort’17 couture collection ‘Alchemy’ over the weekend at The May Fair Hotel. Hot off the Lakme Fashion Week finale, Alchemy was unveiled for the desi-Londoners for the first time. Inspired by a flourishing Rajasthan oasis, the collection brought a whiff of freshness with a lot of pastel sheers and hints of gold. Anita’s signature style of intricate gota patti continued to make an appearance in her couture lines.

The muse for the evening was the lovely Sonam Kapoor who graced the event in a stunning Anita Dongre creation. She looked angelic in a porcelain white ensemble; which was a white georgette gown with sheer organza tunic and crop top for the soiree.

Further, when asked about her experience, Anita said, “London is an exciting city with an eclectic mix of art, architecture, fashion and business. Divalicious was a wonderful event to bring designers, buyers, and clients on one platform. I enjoyed being back in London to showcase this season’s bridal couture” said Anita. Also, the leading designer was recently in London at the Buckingham Palace for a reception hosted by the royal family at the onset of UK-India Year of Culture.
