What to wear this Diwali?

Festivals are the time when we spend as much time to find the perfect dress for us. Diwali is the biggest festival in India and it will be a no biggy to call it the busiest festival of the country as well. House decoration and buying latest décor for the home, puja preparations, diya decorations, gifts for family & friends and what not courses we involve for a happy Diwali. The days after Dussehra seem passing quickly due to festive enthusiasm. The mood of the celebration is breaking the ice. Looking astonishing, isn’t on the list? Well, this Diwali get you the latest fashion clothes and look stunning to woo your family and friends. Here are some of the tips that might help you to dress in the trendiest clothing in the market and you can repeat them like a pro. So dear ladies, make the best use of the opportunity to buy bright and traditional clothing.

  1. Go fusion

This year, wear your traditional but in a little different way. Make a nice fusion of your western and ethnic clothes to tribute the art of modern dressing. If traditional ain’t your thing try mixing the cultures. Carry a crop top or a simple t-shirt with the heavy ghagras and long colorful skirts. Pick the accessories that resemble your ethnic culture. Heavy metal bracelets, sleek mang tikas, jhumkas or the anklets will help you to get the perfect fusion attire.

  1. Metallic the party

Diwali is the festival of light they say so why not to be the center of attraction amongst the candles and mirchi lights? Break the myth that gold and silver do not mix rather they make a marvelous mix. Rock the party with glam essentials like sequins, metallic and embellishments. Try sequins dupatta over a simple salwar kameez, a metallic saree or you can carry a golden Anarkali with minimal work.

  1. Some flower power for you

2015 and 2016 were pretty much ruled by the floral prints. For the Diwali as well, you can look up for some long floral skirts and team it with nice long vests or the jackets. You can also wear floral lehngas with simple borders. For lehngas try Champaign shades and pastel colors. Try something in rose quartz color as well, it looks elegant and nice.

  1. Bohemians are hit

The off-shoulders, cold shoulders, layered dresses, tassels and metallic jewelry are some of the best that bohemia dressing gave us this year. Try an off-shoulder blouse with you sarees. You can also play with the pieces of jewelry as well. try sleek head gears and chokers with your dress. Thread jewelry, Doris and Anarkali’s will give the boardroom suit a nice bohemian makeover.

  1. Go experimental

Dhoti pants with white crisp collar kurta and chunky brogues are everything. A neat tucked in dupatta will definitely add a fusion to the look. it will definitely restore the swadeshi feeling in you.
