The Girl behind this Guitar & Jacket ARTWork of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’- Pameli Kayal
Everyone is currently going Ga-Ga over the Guitar & Jacket, which is being used in the promotions of Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. But the name Pameli Kayal, behind the designing & painting of guitar and Jacket, has remained unsung.
An architect & artist by profession Pameli was once called by Kareem Morani to paint some special gifts that have to be used as a gift from Shahrukh to Pritam and today here they are, becoming a style sensation among people. Many have made queries for painting their own guitars & jackets in the same design.
Pameli has an experience of around 10 years and while remembering the day when JHMS team approached her for designing she said, “It was a sudden thing & I wasn’t even prepared when I reached to meet Kareem & Shah Rukh Sir. After I was briefed about the project I had to go back home again to get my materials. It took me around 2-2.5 hours to complete both the guitar & jacket.” We also heard that there were 4 more guitars which were painted in similar ways to use as giveaways.
And if you ask her if she was nervous, she quickly replied, “Oh yes of course! A project commissioned by King Khan himself will make anyone nervous not because you have suddenly forgotten your work, but because you want it to be your best work. I was glad that I was given my own space to complete the project and wasn’t pressurized about time.”
The way props used by SRK in each of his films and they become so famous amongst audiences, we won’t be surprised that the guitar & jacket become a rage & Pameli opens a store for the same in partnership with SRK!!
