Rustom actor and Neerja actress Makes everyone Smile Big by winning the 64th National Film Awards

The most handsome and renowned Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar and the adorable actress Sonam Kapoor received the prestigious National Award from President Pranab Mukherjee last night at the 64th National Film Awards held at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The well deserving duos attended the grand ceremony with their families and were found dressed traditionally for this big day. Akshay Kumar was accompanied by his beloved wife, Twinkle Khanna, and son, Aarav. While Sonam Kapoor was accompanied by her father Anil Kapoor, mom Sunita and rumored boyfriend Anand Ahuja.

Mr. Khiladi bagged the Best Actor’s trophy for the movie Rustom. While Sonam Kapoor accepted the Best Hindi Film Award for Neerja. Also, Surabhi Jyothi was given the Best Actress Award for Malayalam film Minnaminungu (The Firefly). The other big winners that joined the list were Zaira Wasim Best Supporting Actress (Dangal), and then the Best Film on a social issue was mentioned for movie – Pink starring Amitabh Bachchan, and the Best Children’s Film that was appreciated was Dhanak (Hindi).

Akshay also tweeted, ‘An important day in my life with the most important people in the world to me, my family #NationalFilmAwards.’ Twinkle and Aarav too looked very excited when Akshay received his first National award. While Sonam Kapoor’s Daddy Anil Kapoor was also seen excited when his dearest daughter accepted the award. He made sure to capture the big moment on his phone and applauded to cheer her daughter.
