Mechuka is also blessed with a historical loop; you can visit a 400-year-old Samten Yong-ha monastery which is located on the hilltop overlooking the undulating terrains. You can also witness old statues which are well preserved till date. If you are visiting the place in February, try to be there during Losar Festival, a five days New Year celebration. Mopin Festival starts from the 5th day of April and continues for 5 days.

This year’s Mechuka Aventure Festival organized by Department of Tourism, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh started from 7th 8th and 9th November 2016. The paragliding over the serene beauty and breathtaking valleys made people go wow about the beauty of Mechuka. Kayaking and River rafting in the Siyom River will let your face your fear insight. From varieties of activities like Zorbing, Archery and bicycle Riding Mechuka promises a great time with your friends and family. Recently, Aamir Khan along with his wife Kiran Rao was spotted spending their ‘we’ time in the Mechuka Valleys. After hosting a grand Diwali Bash they took their time off and spend some time in Meghalaya and lately attended Mechuka Adventure Festival. They planned a more intimate birthday celebration for Kiran Rao in the scenic Arunachal beauty. Amir posted a picture on the banks of a river with beautiful mountains at the back. He captioned, “In the wilderness of Arunachal. It’s a really beautiful Place.”
